Hello!  I’m Annabelle, an American Bulldog living in North Metro Atlanta, and the sweetest, most gentle, most well-behaved dog you’ll ever meet!

Annabelle is a happy, loving, laid-back dog, who wants nothing more than to be petted, cuddled, and loved.

Three years ago, she was forcibly removed from a breeder who kept her permanently crated, in abusive and inhumane conditions.  She was 25lbs underweight, and in poor medical condition.  I volunteered to foster her, provided the comprehensive medical and nutritional attention she desperately needed, and provided a safe and loving home for her.  What was initially supposed to be a temporary foster situation, has now become a home to Annabelle of three years.  My situation however, has changed dramatically.  Due to finances, I am moving in with my significant-other who is allergic to dogs, and who’s landlord does not allow them.  I have no choice but to find her a new home.

Annabelle is the perfect dog:

  1. -Perfectly house trained, with a cast iron bladder that can go for 12+ hours.  Never any accidents!

  2. -Not a barker.  She will bark when strangers come to the house, but never barks at neighbors or people she’s met.

  3. -Low-key.  She loves to play, but playtime doesn’t last for more than about 10 minutes.  She is not a bottomless well of energy.

  4. -Gentle.  She loves children!  Her size and strength would only be a concern with the very youngest and smallest of children.

  5. -Well-Behaved.  She listens and obeys, and you never need to tell her twice.  She only chews her toys - never anything that doesn’t belong to her.  She knows she’s not allowed on furniture, and she doesn’t beg or hover while the people are eating.  She will not jump on visitors either.

  6. -Playful.  She loves tennis balls and her squeaky “Wubba”.  She has a favorite stuffed animal (a guinea pig) who is her “baby” and she carries him around with her.

  7. -Cuddly.  Annabelle’s all-time favorite activity is to cuddle with, and be near her owner.  She’s extremely affectionate!

  8. -Unlike many Bulldogs, she does not slobber or drool!

  9. -Healthy.  She is a strong and solid 75lbs, is up-to-date on her shots, receives regular heartworm medication, and sees the vet regularly for routine checkups.  Annabelle has been altered and is not capable of breeding.

Annabelle is an inside dog and prefers to be close to her human family.  She doesn’t need a yard or a fence.  She only needs taken out twice a day, and doesn’t like to stay out too long.  She enjoys walks, as long as they’re short.  Once around the block is all she needs to be happy.  She knows simple commands like sit and shake, which she has to do in order to get a treat.  She loves to go visiting and ride in the car.

Annabelle enjoys the company of other similar-sized dogs with the same laid-back temperament as hers.  Small, high-strung dogs, or cats would NOT be a good fit for her.

Annabelle - 5yr old Purebred American Bulldog

If you are looking for a well-mannered, affectionate, loving companion, that needs no training, and has no special requirements, Annabelle is perfect for you.  In return for your love and attention, she’ll give you all the pleasure of having a dog, with NONE of the headaches.

Since rescue, she has had comprehensive veterinary care, all shots, and regular heartworm treatments.  She eats relatively little for a dog her size and weight, and her food expenses won’t financially burden you.

If you know that you can provide Annabelle with the love and attention she deserves, please contact us immediately and we’ll arrange an introduction.

There is NO FEE for adopting Annabelle, a good loving home is all that you need to provide!

We are located in Woodstock GA and will work with you if you are not in the immediate area.

PS - An uninformed person asked if Annabelle is a Pitbull.  She is NOT!  Pit Bulls are American Bull Terriers, while Annabelle is an American Bulldog.  Her breed has all of the strength, and gentle disposition of the bull breeds, and absolutely none of the “gameness” and aggressiveness of the terriers.  Bulls are working dogs, while the terrier breeds are hunting dogs.  American bulldogs have a much squarer head, and are far stockier than pit-bulls.
